Port of Palm Beach Introduces New Cruise Ship
The Port of Palm Beach is getting ready to welcome their newest cruise ship, the Grand Celebration, set to arrive this February. The new ship is set to bring in a large revenue for the Palm Beach port, taking part in two-night Bahamas cruises as well as four and eight-night cruise adventures. This 1,900-passenger ship will be replacing the 1,250-passenger Bahamas Celebration ship that has become inoperable after colliding with something off of Freeport this past Halloween night.
The new ship has 751 cabins and is 733 feet long. It is equipped with exciting amenities that include the following:
- 5 Restaurants
- 7 Music venues
- Multiple lounges
- Performance theater
- Fitness center
- Casino- The casino will include your traditional table games like poker and blackjack, along with roulette, dice and a wide array of slot machines
This 10-deck cruise ship is said to be a “game changer” for the Port of Palm Beach and will put Palm Beach County on a bigger map for the cruise industry.
Cruise ships can be a lot of fun, but they can also be cause to serious injury from slip and falls or other types of accidents, and serious illness from food poisoning or a quick spreading virus on the ship.
- If you are on the same deck as a pool or if you are in the pool area be sure to watch where you are walking. Water can easily collect in spots and form puddles that could cause you to slip and fall.
- To keep yourself as healthy as possible make sure to wash your hands throughout the day (especially before and after eating). If you are feeling ill, stay in your cabin and away from other cruise passengers. This will help stop the spread of any virus that may be going around the ship.
If you have been injured on a cruise call us at the LaBovick Law Group for your free consultation. We will go over your case in full detail and help you receive the benefits you deserve.
